Over the past decade, Dominic has served as Visual Director and creative collaborator on multiple productions with legendary director Zhang Yimou, including his complete Apologue series at Beijing National Opera House and MGM 2049, the first residency show at MGM Macau. These collaborations represent the successful synthesis of Eastern artistic vision with Western technological innovation, creating new paradigms for cross-cultural entertainment.

The Zhang Yimou partnership demonstrates Dominic’s ability to navigate complex cultural sensitivities while delivering spectacular technical innovation. From seamless hologram integration that honors traditional performance art to creating visual content for the entertainment industry’s first 12 Unitree humanoid robot performance, each project builds bridges between artistic traditions and technological possibilities.

TECHNICAL INNOVATION LEADERSHIP

Dominic’s pioneering work spans multiple breakthrough technologies. His development of seamless holographic content integration has influenced industry standards for mixed-reality performance. For MGM 2049, he created synchronized visual content for 12 Unitree humanoid robots in what became the entertainment industry’s first large-scale robotic performance integration.

Additional technical achievements include creating large-scale CGI environments populated by hundreds of thousands of animated figures, directing underwater filming at Pinewood Studios for immersive aquatic stage presentations, and collaborating with WhiteVoid on kinetic light installations that merge traditional staging with cutting-edge installation art.
